Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician is an integral part of the Operations team responsible for investigating, surveying and staking electric distribution lines, leading the work order process from start to finish in collaboration with multiple team members and performs drafting and mapping functions. Other important responsibilities include member engagement, on site crew visits and the collection and maintenance of information required for construction work plans.

Experiences and requirements:
Technical School or higher in an Engineering field is required. A minimum of 5 years of electric utility experience may be substituted for some educational requirements
Experiences in: Electrical design, drafting, surveying or linework background is required
Current/valid/unrestricted driver's license

Wild Rice Electric is a member owned electric distribution cooperative located in Mahnomen, Minn. The cooperative manages 4,014 miles of line and serves 16,010 locations in Mahnomen County and portions of the five surrounding counties.
