The Washington County Soil Conservation District (WCSCD) is seeking qualified applicants to apply for the District Engineer Position. This is a salaried professional position involving the technical review of stormwater management ponds for compliance with dam safety requirements, soil erosion and sediment control plan reviews, and a full range of plan review services. See Position Description at www.conservationplace.com for full description of duties. Applicants must be a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland. Consideration may be given to Engineer in Training candidates, with appropriate experience, who may be expected to achieve Professional Engineer certification within 6 to 12 months of employment. Must have experience and college course work in the field of hydraulics, hydrology, and soil mechanics. Experience in the field of stormwater management, hydraulic and hydrology modeling, dam breach modeling, and dam hazard classifications. Annual starting salary $80,000-$90,000 dependent on education and experience.
