We specialize in multiple areas of the value chain:
- Field employees work to calibrate equipment, program and automate systems, and perform instrumentation and equipment work on client sites.
- Lab employees take samples that have been collected in the field and run a multitude of tests for environmental factors and quality of the product. We also have a blending lab that works to create the chemicals that other companies use to calibrate their analytical equipment.
- The Production Analytics team audits existing field structures and design, balances our client’s entire systems, and allocates royalties to maximize profits.

Position Summary
The Offshore Measurement Specialist must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position serves as a subject matter expert in all aspects of field measurement. Will use independence and judgment to recognize and resolve problems within established policies and procedures and is accountable for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of own work.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop, understand, follow, and apply regulatory requirements for custody transfer meters;
- Develop, understand, follow, and apply contractual requirements for production allocation meters;
- Manage regulatory and contractual compliance obligations for multiple assets;
- Develop, apply, and follow Company Standard Measurement Procedures;
- Follow Industry standards and equipment specific procedures;
- Traditional Measurement Equipment Calibrations;
- QA/QC Oil and Gas Meter Calibration reports;
- Oil and Gas Sample Collection, Shipping, Tracking, and analysis;
- Have a strong understanding of fluid phase behavior and the impact on allocation principles;
- Develop, understand, and apply corporate communication and data integrity management concepts on equipment for multiple assets;
- Perform Measurement equipment integrity, system health monitoring and daily asset balance monitoring;
- Handle special client request, including system audits and system balance issues;
- Understand, develop, and apply communication and data integrity management concepts on facility equipment;
- Identify system balance issues, P/L discrepancies and take corrective actions;
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and training to technicians;
- Interface with asset team, accounting, and revenue departments for Production Allocation;
- Support offshore assets as a subject matter expert on Measurement equipment, processes, and Production allocation;
- Perform audits of company and 3rd party processes, procedures, calibrations, analysis;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED;
- Have a strong understanding of, and be able to perform calibrations on, perform failure diagnostics, make repairs, and configure State-of -the-Art Measurement Equipment, such as:
- C6+ Gas Chromatographs;
- Multiphase Meters;
- Ultrasonic Meters;
- Coriolis Meters;
- Mass Thermal Meters;
- Must be a Subject Expert on Measurement equipment over all Assets;
- Effective communication skills are required;
- Electronics and/or mechanical experience/knowledge/skills is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to carry equipment (not to exceed 50 pounds) up and down steps. At times, multiple trips of this nature (due to more than 50 pounds of equipment) may be required;
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, safety glasses, FRC’s, hard hats, safety toe work boots, ear plugs/muffs and respiratory protection;
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds;
- Must be able to pull up to 50 pounds;
- Working extended hours and varying shifts is often required;
- May be exposed to hazardous noise levels at work sites on an occasional basis;
- May be exposed to hot/cold/inclement weather conditions;
- May be required to work in tight quarters;
- May be required to work at elevated heights;
- Must be able to stand and sit for various lengths of time;
- Must be able to crouch, stoop and kneel for various lengths of time.
