Supervising Engineer
Opportunity:
Supervise field and office engineering projects within the Department. Assign, check, and supervises the work of lower-level engineering Staff. Review and make updates to Departmental policies and procedures and work with an engineering staff for implementation and improvements. Develop bidding documents for construction and recurring procurement contracts. Oversee the review of developer site plans.
Education:
Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) is seeking a highly qualified, motivated candidate having a New Jersey Professional Engineer's License, and a Bachelor's of Science or Masters of Science Degree in Civil, or Environmental Engineering, for a position as Supervising Engineer.
NOTE: Applicants who do not meet the above educational Requirements may substitute additional experience as indicated below on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester credit hours being equal to one (1) year of experience.
Experience:
Four (4) years of experience in civil, mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering, one (1) shall have been in a supervisory capacity. The optimum candidate will be an energetic, self-starter with significant relevant experience and a strong desire to continue to learn and grow in their professional capacity in the water industry.
