Safety CAE Integration Engineer, Warren, MI, General Motors. Engineer, perform & execute FEA of full vehicle psgr vehicle to meet front high speed impact crashworthiness performance of BIW Body Frame Integral & Body on Frame light weight/high strength steel structures in compliance with U.S. & RoW regs defined by U.S. FMVSS No. 208 full frontal & 30 degree angle impact, & NCAP), Euro NCAP, & China NCAP standards & requirements, & IIHS recommendations & metrics for front (offset deformable & small overlap rigid barrier) load cases at virtual assessment gates. Use CAE SW including ANSA, LS-DYNA, Primer, Animator, HyperWorks & MeshWorks for FE simulations. Attend physical tests &tear downs & correlate CAE & FE simulation results to physical test. Present CAE results to cross functional teams. Master, Mechanical, Automotive, or Civil Engineering, or related. 12 months experience as Engineer, Specialist, or related, performing or supporting full vehicle psgr vehicle crashworthiness simulations using FEA for U.S. & RoW regulations defined by U.S. FMVSS No. 208 full frontal & 30 degree angle impact, & IIHS recommendations for front (offset deformable & small overlap rigid barrier) load cases, or related.
