Information Technology Group-Vehicle Safety Data Scientist, Warren, MI, General Motors. Develop advanced machine learning (ML) & deep learning (DL) models that classify billions of customer complaints to identify & predict safety hazards across all GM vehicles. Work on full lifecycle of ML model development including data exploration & preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, hyperparameter tuning, model performance evaluation & deployment. Apply advanced analytics methodologies & approaches for vehicle safety emerging issue monitoring & product investigation/safety analytics areas. Use natural language processing to parse & preprocess unstructured data & develop machine learning models in Python to identify safety issues across passenger vehicles. Focus on new text classification methods & structured data analysis, including ML & DL, with data sources including customer complaint, warranty, engineering, crash, telematics, survey, & research data. Use transformer architectures, encoder & decoders to create contextual word embeddings for DL models & adapt models to downstream text classification tasks. Master, Information Management, Math, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related. 12 months experience as Data Scientist, Engineer, Architect, or Analyst, working on full lifecycle of ML model development including data exploration, data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, hyperparameter tuning, model performance evaluation & deployment, or related.
