Assistant Project Manager for Planning, Design & Construction Management
Elon University is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Planning, Design, and Construction Management. This position manages the development of the physical campus and will be working closely with the other members of the department, university community, outside consultants and contractors as well as governing agencies to manage the project from initial concept through occupancy.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with University colleagues to develop the building scope and budget assist the University Architect on master plan and feasibility studies
- Selecting outside design consultants
- Serving on campus committees
- Reviewing project plans and specifications during all project phases.
A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Architectural Engineering or equivalent work experience are required. Work experience on higher education buildings, knowledge of NC building codes and estimating practices, and strong communication skills are strongly preferred.
