Resident Engineer
Resident Engineer. Troy, MI. Perform vehicle feature function tests to validate and troubleshoot. Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research. Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions and report to internal cross-functional teams and management. Assist in the design, construction, testing, and checkout of test equipment. Set up and conduct product tests per technical specifications. Pull vehicle logs via CAN tools. Test and update development, pre-production, and production level software in customer vehicles. Support engineering activities such as flashing of software updates on vehicles and loose components (such as ECUs and radars). Requires Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering and two years of experience performing automotive calibration and feature development, performing vehicle testing, analysis, and validation, analyzing vehicle test data to create summary reports, verifying and validating vehicle-level features, MATLAB, INCA, and Vector tools.
