We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer responsible for the electrical systems of the plant, including drives, PLCs, Instrumentation, and data interface systems. The ideal candidate must be able to work well with current maintenance and E&I technicians in order to create an environment of continuous improvement and focus on systems reliability. This position will work closely with the Plant Mechanical and Process engineers to ensure the continuous and safe function of plant equipment.
REPORTS TO: Plant Technical Manager
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
⦁ Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Field
⦁ Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
⦁ Manufacturing Experience with PLCs, Control Logix and Drives
Preferred:
⦁ Electrical Engineering degree
⦁ Nonwovens or paper manufacturing experience a plus
⦁ Familiarity with:
⦁ Industrial Instrumentation
⦁ Electrical Documentation, Drawings, and CAD
⦁ HMIs
⦁ VFDs
⦁ SCADA Systems
⦁ Experience with industrial projects

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety:
⦁ Compliance and support to continuously improve the CEREX Safety policy.
⦁ Empowered and expected to take action to address any unsafe situation.
⦁ Assist in developing Lock Out policies on electrical equipment.
Functional/Role:
⦁ Drive continuous improvement of plant electrical systems.
⦁ Map, troubleshoot, upgrade, and train on relevant electrical issues.
⦁ Actively participate in the Site Reliability Program.
⦁ Direct and manage the site Electrical Integrity Program.
⦁ Assist in the site Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Program.
⦁ Recommend appropriate spare parts for critical components
⦁ Oversee and manage major maintenance events, including work by outside resources.
⦁ Backfill gaps in call-in schedule.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
⦁ Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. Occasionally you may need to bend, reach, stoop, kneel and reach/lift overhead.
⦁ Must be able to operate safely in a manufacturing environment
