CADCAM-E.Com, Inc. (CCE) has an opening for the position of Mechanical Engineer (Ref# ME47AIP) to work in Farmington Hills, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Research, plan, and design mechanical products and systems related to lithography stepper machines for semiconductor applications. Coordinate engineering and design activities and develop detailed mechanical plans. Review product design for compliance and coordinate engineering and design activities. Initiate and control engineering projects within a specified area of responsibility. Create complete engineering drawing packages for new and existing products as required. Assist in the overall completion of important and complex engineering tasks and projects. Develop, schedule, and resolve engineering, design, and test problems. Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Develop and use reporting systems to communicate quality information throughout the organization. Direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical products and systems. Interpret technical data to support design and product methods and procedures for testing products and systems; rate existing design concepts and develop new design concepts. Develop technical reports for performance, manufacturing, cost, and design criteria. Record/store information and documentation about projects; conduct experiments and tests on existing designs and equipment to obtain data on function and performance of equipment. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional team, OEM, and supplier teams to solve problems in design. Direct testing activities on components and equipment under designated conditions to ensure operational performance meets design specifications. Create production process definition in conjunction with manufacturing teams. Apply knowledge, understanding of materials, and part manufacturing methodologies to ensure successful development of products using Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles. Create and maintain system and sub-assembly level Bill of Materials (BOM). Conduct Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to predict possible product failures and make design improvements. Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and vibration analysis to determine product performance under operating conditions. Use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (PTC Windchill and Teamcenter), Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk AutoCAD, Unigraphics/NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, and SAP S4 HANA. Travel and/or relocation required.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Design Engineer or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with designing products for lithography steppers, Bill of Materials, and Product Lifecycle Management tool (either PTC Windchill or Teamcenter). Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40 hours/week.
