Anderson Development Company is seeking a Chemist - Coating Resins based out of our Adrian, Michigan facility.

Our polymers keep your car shiny in a planet-friendly way, our elastomers are used to build more durable equipment and our semiconductor materials enable faster computer chips. Job Responsibilities
Design and execute experiments in the lab including analyzing and interpreting data and drawing conclusions. Communicate results in an effective manner to both internal and external stakeholders.
Be able to work independently or under instruction of R&D Leadership as a team member in developing new products.
Provide technical support and training to customers in the use of Coating resins.
Work with Quality Control and Production teams to support product commercialization and customer projects.
Exhibit safe working behaviors and maintain safe working conditions in the lab.
Required Qualifications and Skills
B.S. degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Coating Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. MS degree is a plus.
0-3+ years of technical service, research, or product development experience.
Ability to design experiments, analyze results, summarize data and findings with well thought out conclusions.
Fundamental understanding of coatings chemistry and familiarity with common test methods and equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external teams.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to effectively provide customer technical support.
Be willing to travel up to 10% (i.e., visit customers, attend conferences/seminars).
